                    <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Our client, a highly respected and locally owned engineering company in Austin, is seeking to add a talented Mechanical Engineer PE / Project Manager with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience to its growing team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position offering generous compensation, benefits, bonus/401K, and PTO programs in a great location.</strong></p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Design &amp; Documentation:</strong></li>
<li>Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents to support MEP engineering needs for various building types (commercial offices, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, multifamily, etc.), with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.</li>
<li><strong>Project Management:</strong></li>
<li>Oversee projects from inception to completion, establish schedules, assign resources, monitor performance, and ensure projects are on time and within budget.</li>
<li>Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, along with associated general project documents.</li>
<li><strong>Field Work &amp; Review:</strong></li>
<li>Review mechanical design submittals and address any issues, conflicts, or questions that arise in the field.</li>
<li>Provide technical support during the construction phase.</li>
<li><strong>Client Interaction:</strong></li>
<li>Generate and present project status updates to internal and external stakeholders as needed.</li>
<li>Develop new business opportunities by building and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients.</li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></li>
<li>A bachelor&#8217;s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, as well as an MS degree, is a plus.</li>
<li>Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management.</li>
<li>Current Professional Engineer (PE) License.</li>
<li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></li>
<li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.</li>
<li>Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is highly desirable.</li>
<li>Strong HVAC/plumbing design and project management experience for commercial, multifamily, educational, healthcare, and institutional buildings.</li>
<li><strong>Communication &amp; Interpersonal Skills:</strong></li>
<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including subcontractors and project owners.</li>
<li><strong>Professional Attributes:</strong></li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li>
<li>Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.</li>
