Job Title: Senior Electrical Designer – HVAC & Plumbing Specialist

Job Description:

We seek a talented and experienced Senior Electrical Designer with proficiency in HVAC and plumbing systems design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical design, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision. This role demands excellent communication skills, responsiveness to client needs, and confidence in attending and leading meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings and schematics for HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with HVAC and plumbing engineers to ensure cohesive and integrated system designs.
  • Select, specify, and document electrical components, equipment, and materials required for various projects.
  • Perform load calculations and sizing for electrical systems, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive electrical design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper installation and adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the construction and commissioning phases.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends, advancements in electrical design, and innovations in HVAC and plumbing systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, such as NEC and NFPA.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
  • Certifications in energy management or sustainability practices.
